So, another book review. You will be seeing a few more of these through the months as I have joined up with a couple other publishers to review and blog! It's fun and we get free books which I eventually plan to donate to the library.
Anyway, I was very excited to have the opportunity to read Storm Warning by Billy Graham. I did not realize that this was a revision of his 1992 book when I agreed to review the book. The first few pages left me with a feeling of dread...dread of reading of sad and depressing situations people all over the world face due to storms. But I should have known better because as I forced myself to read on I found myself so energized regarding the time of life in which we live. As usual, Billy Graham has an amazing way of sharing the Word of God. In Storm Warning he has an amazing way of sharing hope during what seems so hopeless to so many people in our culture and in our world. Knowing that much of the time and effort went into this book almost 20 years ago is absolutely mind-blowing and should give readers a keen awareness of the times in which we live. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning of current culture and how the Word of God gives light to our current day issues of recession, terrorism and natural disasters. I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their [...] book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
